Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Choke (ranked 25 p4p, 228 weight class) and Fabiano Capellio (ranked 6 p4p, 37 weight class). David Choke has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, David Choke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fabiano Capellio!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Choke gets the takedown into side control.
Capellio felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Choke is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Capellio has escaped the position, nice work there.

Choke wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Capellio, who protects the arm well.

Choke cracks Capellio with a big right hand but Capellio just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Choke escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Capellio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

and Capellio counters with a straight right hand.

Choke steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Capellio.
Choke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Capellio swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Choke avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Capellio throws a hook but Choke avoids it easily.
Capellio displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Choke.

Choke shoots for a double leg takedown but Capellio sprawls well. He's pushed Choke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Capellio scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Choke clinches up with Capellio and pushes him back against the cage.

Choke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Capellio can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Choke is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Capellio pulls his head out easily.

Capellio wanted to stand there but Choke had control of the position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Capellio throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Capellio throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Choke sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Capellio has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Capellio throws a fast counter high kick but Choke manages to duck under it in time.
