Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thoth Chontamenti (ranked 1745 p4p, 997 weight class) and Lou Slugger (ranked 206 p4p, 117 weight class). Chontamenti's entrance music is Five Finger Death Punch - Wrong Side of Heaven. A fine choice. Slugger has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slugger buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Chontamenti fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Slugger sprawls well initially but Chontamenti persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Slugger tries to kick Chontamenti off but Chontamenti keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Slugger makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Chontamenti connects with the punch.

Chontamenti shoots in and gets a takedown into Slugger's guard.

Slugger is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Slugger can't keep his opponent in guard - Chontamenti advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Slugger tries to kick Chontamenti off in order to stand up. Chontamenti Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Chontamenti takes a little break here. Slugger wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Slugger seems a little lost for a moment, as Chontamenti dominates the positioning.

Chontamenti is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Slugger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chontamenti is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Slugger's shoulder. That is not cool.
Chontamenti's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chontamenti is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Slugger will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Slugger is pushing Chontamenti's head away, looking to escape. Chontamenti manages to hold on to the position though.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Chontamenti content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Slugger is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Chontamenti has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Chontamenti throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slugger.

Chontamenti is working to tighten his grip on Slugger's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Slugger has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Chontamenti is really squeezing tight and eventually Slugger passes out! Chontamenti breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
