Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Bronson (ranked 715 p4p, 251 weight class) and Vitali Kersikov I I (ranked 106 p4p, 38 weight class). Bronson comes into the arena with Glass Candy blaring out of the sound system. Kersikov I I has chosen Sefa & Mr. Ivex - LSD Problem as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vitali Kersikov I I!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bronson moves in looking to clinch but Kersikov I I pushes him off.
Kersikov I I looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Bronson jabs at Kersikov I I's body.
Kersikov I I misses with a straight left.
A quick step to the side and Bronson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Good exchange - Bronson coming out on top.
Kersikov I I keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bronson.
Kersikov I I flicks out a counter leg kick but Bronson steps away.
Bronson throws a hook but Kersikov I I avoids it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kersikov I I has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bronson.
Bronson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bronson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bronson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kersikov I I has time to react.

It looks like Vitali Kersikov I I has been cut.

Kersikov I I moves forwards but Bronson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kersikov I I throws out a loose jab but Bronson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bronson works Kersikov I I's body with a nice hook.
Bronson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kersikov I I doesn't seem bothered though.
Kersikov I I throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kersikov I I displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bronson throws out the jab.

Kersikov I I has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Bronson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Bronson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Don Bronson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Kersikov I I counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kersikov I I throws the left hand but Bronson avoids the punch easily.

Kersikov I I lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kersikov I I uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bronson.

The fighters circle momentarily. Kersikov I I darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bronson throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kersikov I I counters with a good, hard body kick but Bronson shrugs it off.
Bronson is breathing heavily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kersikov I I looks for the body kick but Bronson saw that one coming.
Bronson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kersikov I I steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Kersikov I I takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Bronson throws out a loose jab but Kersikov I I uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bronson lands a nice looking body shot.
A clash of legs there as Kersikov I I blocks the low kick.
Kersikov I I replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Bronson blocks it well.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Kersikov I I might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Bronson has got the better of the exchanges.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Kersikov I I in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
