The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lebedev dives in and scores a takedown into Johnson's guard.
Lebedev stops Johnson from standing up.
Johnson is wriggling around but Lebedev manages to pass to half guard.
Well, if Lebedev is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lebedev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson won't allow Lebedev to pass to mount.
Lebedev is taking a breather. Johnson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Johnson is trying to control but can't.
Lebedev throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Johnson to regain full guard.
Lebedev is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.
Lebedev wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lebedev stands up and waves to Johnson to follow him.

Lebedev has Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.
Johnson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Lebedev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lebedev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes.

Lebedev forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches.

Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Lebedev tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lebedev was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson.

Johnson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lebedevs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Lebedev is breathing heavily.
Johnson is looking to clinch.
Lebedev takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kostya Lebedev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.
Lebedev is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Johnson scores with a jab to the body.
Johnson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lebedev looking to control.
Lebedev looking for a sweep. Not yet Lebedev, not yet.
Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Lebedev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lebedev pulls Johnson in to control the position.

Johnson wants to control from the top but Lebedev keeps moving.
Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Johnson gets to his feet - Lebedev follows without any prompting.
Johnson scores with a punch to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lebedev looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Lebedev blocks a head kick by Johnson.
Lebedev throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lebedev tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson lands a body shot.
Johnson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Johnson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Lebedev takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Johnson connects with a nice looking jab.
Johnson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
A telegraphed right hand from Johnson misses the target.
Lebedev throws a head kick that half lands.
Lebedev misses with a double jab.
As Lebedev backs off Johnson throws a huge counter combo but Lebedev manages to avoid it all.
Johnson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lebedev momentarily.

Lebedev is rocked!
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Lebedev circles away.
Johnson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Lebedev takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Johnson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lebedev sprawling to the canvas! Lebedev rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Johnson finish him?!
Oh Lebedev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kostya Lebedev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Johnson closes the distance looking for a takedown. Johnson picks Lebedev up and slams him brutally to the floor. Lebedev is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!
