Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Schmidt (ranked 3776 p4p, 2469 weight class) and Mr Spar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Royce Schmidt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 21 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Mr Spar!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Schmidt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Spar has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Schmidt wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Spar slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Spar's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mr Spar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Schmidt is trying to trip Spar. He has hold of a leg but Spar is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Schmidt persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Let's hope that Spar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Spar has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well Spar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
