The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jonsson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nice takedown defense from Jonsson. No joy for Thompson on that attempt.

Jonsson lands a big head kick that sends Thompson tumbling to the mat! Jonsson takes a step backwards and waves Thompson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Zeus Thompson has been cut.
Jonsson misses with an uppercut.

Thompson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jonsson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Jonsson sneaks out the side door and pushes Thompson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Thompson is looking to clinch.
Jonsson lands a nice shot that snaps Thompson's head back.

Thompson looks for a takedown but Jonsson sprawls well.
Klas Jonsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zeus Thompson.

Jonsson lands a big uppercut and Thompson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Thompson looks OK. Jonsson waves Thompson back to his feet!
