Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ripley West (ranked 4116 p4p, 4164 weight class) and Kristian Baunegaard (ranked 452 p4p, 458 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kristian Baunegaard!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baunegaard is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
West gets in close and instigates a clinch.
West escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A shot to the liver by Baunegaard. Beautiful body shot.
West throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from West lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Baunegaard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Baunegaard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
West rushes Baunegaard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Baunegaard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but West circles away quickly and effectively.

West doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Baunegaard jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as West walks away with a smile on his face. Baunegaard gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
West misses with a body shot.
Baunegaard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but West paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Baunegaard lands a jab-cross combination.
Baunegaard throws a right and a left that West avoids nicely.

West takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
West throws a combination. Baunegaard tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
West forces Baunegaard back against the cage and clinches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Baunegaard takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Baunegaard tries to clinch but West is having none of it.
West throws a big counter combination but Baunegaard scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
West Throws a clean left jab. West Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Baunegaard's chin! Baunegaard crumbles to the ground and West follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by West!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ripley West!
In his post fight interview, Ripley West started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
