Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Siale Veainu (ranked 471 p4p, 143 weight class) and Marko Kersikov (ranked 70 p4p, 20 weight class). Kersikov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Re-Style - Spring kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

With a record of 16 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Marko Kersikov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veainu throws a poor cross that misses
and Veainu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Veainu connects with a nice looking jab.
Kersikov throws out a loose jab but Veainu uses good head movement to avoid it.

Veainu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kersikov throws out the jab.
Veainu seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Veainu throws a shot from downtown. Kersikov moves away and avoids it.
Veainu cracks Kersikov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Veainu throws a hook to the side of Kersikov's head but Kersikov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kersikov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

A little jabbing left from Kersikov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kersikov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Veainu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Veainu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Veainu drops his hands momentarily and Kersikov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kersikov lands with a straight right. Veainu didn't see that one coming.
Kersikov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Marko Kersikov seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Veainu lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Kersikov up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Veainu from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Kersikov's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
