Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeda Shida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregory Motts!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shida gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Motts.

It looks like Takeda Shida has been cut.
Motts doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Motts closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Shida blocks an uppercut.

Shida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shida swings away with a body shot that misses
and Motts counters with a nice uppercut.
Motts uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shida.
Motts throws out a counter right but Shida avoids it with no problem.
Shida uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Motts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Motts misses with a lunging right hand
and Shida counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Motts throws a jab but it's blocked by Shida.
Motts bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Motts looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shida misses with a wild body shot.
Shida blocks a jab.
Shida swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Motts throws a lazy right hand but Shida sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A little feinted left hand from Shida on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Motts throws an off balance right hand
and Shida counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Motts throws the left hand but Shida avoids the punch easily.
Shida throws a big counter combination but Motts scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Motts misses with a left hand
and Shida counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Motts walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Shida throws a predictable looking body shot
and Motts connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shida paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Shida lands a big right hand that sends Motts crashing to the mat! Shida stays standing though and waves Motts back to his feet!

Motts is rocked!
Motts might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Motts walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Shida swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
