Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Fisher (ranked 129 p4p, 370 weight class) and Ishmael Egyptian (ranked 14 p4p, 35 weight class). John Fisher could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ishmael Egyptian's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ishmael Egyptian!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egyptian throws a poor cross that misses
and Fisher finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Egyptian tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Fisher counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fighters circling - Fisher throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Egyptian scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fisher in his tracks.
Egyptian shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fisher as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Egyptian misses with a takedown attempt - Fisher sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Egyptian avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
We've been told by Fisher's head coaches at Outlaw MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

It looked like Fisher wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
John Fisher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ishmael Egyptian.

Fisher shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Egyptian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fisher swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Egyptian is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Fisher had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fisher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Egyptian manages to avoid it.
Egyptian tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fisher manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Egyptian closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Egyptian lands in his opponent's guard.
Fisher avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Fisher will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

enabling Fisher to counter with a crisp jab.

Fisher was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Egyptian catches Fisher with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

A jab from Egyptian finds it's way through Fisher's defenses.

Fisher feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Egyptian sprawling to the canvas! Egyptian rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Fisher finish him?!

Fisher is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Egyptian can do to turn this around?
Fisher throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Egyptian stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Egyptian takes one on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fisher missing with a left hand there. Egyptian was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Fisher looks to land a left hand but Egyptian moved out of range nicely.
Egyptian with the counter takedown but Fisher avoids it easily.
Egyptian takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Egyptian displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fisher throws out the jab.
Egyptian seems to have recovered his senses.

Egyptian cracks Fisher with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Fisher stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fisher wants it to stay on the feet.

A decent looking cross lands there for Egyptian.
John Fisher is winning the standup battle so far.
Egyptian scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Fisher with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Egyptian to score with a decent uppercut.

Egyptian closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fisher quickly recovers to half guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Egyptian throws a sloppy body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Egyptian swings away with a body shot that misses
and Fisher counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Fisher counters with a nice uppercut.
Egyptian misses with a lunging right hand

and Fisher counters with a crisp right hand that drops Egyptian! Fisher lets Egyptian back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Fisher bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Fisher steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Egyptian.
Egyptian tries to clinch there but Fisher circles away.
Fisher fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Egyptian looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Egyptian looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

and Fisher scores with a counter punch that sends Egyptian to the canvas! Fisher smells blood - he's punishing Egyptian with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Egyptian has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Fisher!
During a confident post fight interview, John Fisher thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
In defeat, Ishmael Egyptian stepped up to the mic, saying 'What the hell was that?'.
