Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Krypton Brussard (ranked 668 p4p, 2803 weight class) and Janko Godwin (ranked 93 p4p, 337 weight class). Brussard comes into the arena with New Jack Hustler blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Krypton Brussard!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Janko Godwin!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godwin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brussard at a distance.
Brussard throws out a powerful jab.
Godwin misses with a takedown attempt - Brussard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Godwin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brussard looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brussard looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brussard!
Godwin has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Brussard tries to move into full mount but can't pass Godwin's legs.

Godwin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Janko Godwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brussard throws a sloppy head kick and Godwin moves out of range easily.
Brussard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Godwin.
Godwin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brussard wants to hold on but Godwin pushes him away.

Godwin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brussard looks a forlorn figure.
Godwin loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Brussard scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Godwin land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Godwin stands and salutes the crowd.
