Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Marlow (ranked 25356 p4p, 6047 weight class) and Mzeke Lingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lingo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rich nigga . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mzeke Lingo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lingo dives in and grabs Marlow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marlow pushes down on Lingo's head and hops out.
Marlow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Marlow keeps the fight on the outside.
Lingo closes the distance and clinches up with Marlow, looking for a takedown. Lingo pushes Marlow against the cage but Marlow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lingo leaves Marlow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Marlow pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Marlow closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lingo to the mat! Lingo manages to get full guard.
Marlow lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Marlow is working Lingo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Lingo shoots in looking for a takedown. Marlow tries to sprawl out of it but Lingo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marlow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lingo dives in for a single leg takedown but Marlow sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lingo moves out of range as Marlow strikes.

Marlow closes the distance and clinches.
Lingo blocks an elbow strike.
Lingo drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lingo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Marlow just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lingo's brow.
Lingo will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Marlow up against the cage.

Lingo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Marlow's efforts to push away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that James Marlow will probably get the nod.

Lingo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Lingo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Marlow counters with a three punch combo that has Lingo backing up. Lingo nods at Marlow to acknowledge the strikes.
Lingo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Marlow's head.

Still in half guard, Lingo seems content to control.
Marlow is looking for a sweep. Lingo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lingo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Lingo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marlow tries to avoid it but Lingo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marlow to the ground. Marlow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Marlow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marlow fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marlow slaps away a takedown attempt from Lingo, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Marlow bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lingo's guard.
