PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mat Moseley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henderson has chosen Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 21 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moseley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Moseley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Moseley staying out of range there.
Moseley thumps Henderson with a low kick.
Moseley throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Henderson on the side of the head.
Moseley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Moseley tries to land a leg kick but Henderson saw it coming and moves away.
The fighters circling - Henderson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Moseley throws a series of punches but Henderson moves out of range.
Moseley shoots in looking for a takedown. Henderson tries to sprawl out of it but Moseley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Henderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Henderson drops his hands momentarily and Moseley takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Moseley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Henderson prevents Moseley from improving position.

You can see the frustration on Henderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Moseley has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Moseley trying to control but Henderson is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Henderson is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Moseley wants to take his opponent's back but Henderson doesn't allow it.

Moseley has control of Henderson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Henderson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Henderson wants to hold on but Moseley pushes him away.

Moseley is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Henderson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Henderson is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Moseley locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Henderson is forced to tap!
