Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Bullard (ranked 3478 p4p, 2776 weight class) and Drake Jones (ranked 270 p4p, 227 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullard throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jones slips a straight right by Bullard.
Jones changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Jones walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Bullard uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Bullard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bullard misses with a few strikes there.
Jones is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jones creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bullard sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Jones looks up at the clock and then as Bullard takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jones smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

BOOM! Jones connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bullard is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.
Jones lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Bullard is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.

Jones loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Bullard scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Jones land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Jones stands and salutes the crowd.
