Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Braynas Hlervu (ranked 28 p4p, 197 weight class) and Bethania Valverde (ranked 2 p4p, 12 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hlervu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Al Qawlu Qawlu Sawarim. Valverde comes into a darkened arena with his song building. LLAMAME YA kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hlervu lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Valverde throws a poor cross that misses
and Hlervu counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Valverde throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hlervu.
Valverde fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hlervu manages to avoid it.
Hlervu has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Valverde finds it's way round the side to connect with Hlervu's head.
Valverde misses with a left hand
and Hlervu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A nice leg kick from Valverde, right into the meat of the thigh.
Valverde takes a swing at Hlervu's ribcage but misses.
Valverde throws a hook to the side of Hlervu's head but Hlervu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
It looked like Hlervu was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Valverde misses with a lunging right hand
and Hlervu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Valverde tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hlervu is able to avoid easily.
Valverde fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hlervu manages to avoid it.
Hlervu has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Bethania Valverde seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
