Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ian Walsh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walsh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Acosta definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Walsh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Acosta might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Walsh stands up over Acosta, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Walsh is working Acosta over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Acosta is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walsh lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Walsh keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Acosta's head.
Walsh postures up in Acosta's guard and throws a big left but Acosta blocks it.

Acosta escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walsh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walsh stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Acosta has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Walsh manages to get his head free but now Acosta has transitioned to an armbar! Walsh grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Acosta! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nikos Acosta!
