Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mohamed Ahmed!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blix ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ahmed moves away.
A punch lands to the side of Ahmed 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Blix slips under a jab.
Blix seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Ahmed misses with a left hand

and Blix counters by moving into the clinch.
Blix prevents a body shot from Ahmed.
Ahmed blocks a body shot from Blix.
Blix tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ahmed tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ahmed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blix tries to throw a body punch but Ahmed avoids it by throwing Blix back against the cage.
Ahmed tries to work over Blix's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Ahmed looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ahmed blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ahmed scores with a shot to the side of Blix's head.
Ahmed misses with a punch to the body.
Still in the clinch, Ahmed scores with a nice short uppercut.

Ahmed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ahmed connects with a body shot that sends Blix's belly button to the back.
Ahmed pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Blix slips a jab from Ahmed.
Blix is looking to clinch.
Blix misses with a hook. Ahmed ducked under it nicely.
Blix tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ahmed manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ahmed swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mohamed Ahmed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Blix blocks a jab.
Blix uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ahmed.

Blix throws an off balance right hand
and Ahmed counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ahmed lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Blix moves out of range of the strikes.
As Ahmed tries to get set, Blix tries to push him back and clinch up but Ahmed manages to avoid the attempt.
Blix looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ahmed throws a jab but it's blocked by Blix.
Blix drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ahmed sprawls and moves away.
Blix tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ahmed manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ahmed throws a lazy uppercut

and Blix moves into the clinch.

Ahmed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ahmed throws an overhand right that lands on Blix's shoulder, as Blix tries to avoid the shot.
Ahmed looks to land a right hand but Blix moved out of range.
Ahmed throws a body shot but no joy.
Blix misses with a looping left.
Blix tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Ahmed counters with a huge left! Blix is in big trouble! He's backing up but Ahmed isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Blix from any more damage. A dominating finish by Ahmed!

After winning the bout, Mohamed Ahmed thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
