The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
LaFleur jabs at Bastard's body.
Bastard comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bastard lands with a good body shot.
Bastard drops his hands momentarily and LaFleur takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Bastard avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bastard clobbers LaFleur with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Jean Francois LaFleur has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bastard cracks LaFleur with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! LaFleur looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Bastard finish him?

Bastard feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends LaFleur sprawling to the canvas! LaFleur rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bastard finish him?!
Bastard jabs LaFleur to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Bastard sends LaFleur crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bastard is motioning to the referee to let LaFleur up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Oh LaFleur is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bastard swings wildly with an uppercut but LaFleur uses good head movement to avoid it.
LaFleur tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
LaFleur misses with a hook to the ribs.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for LaFleur.
A right handed body shot lands from Bastard.

Still in the clinch, Bastard scores with a nice short uppercut.
Bastard works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Bastard drops LaFleur onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! LaFleur is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Bastard dips a shoulder and cracks LaFleur with a mighty uppercut! LaFleur falls back against the cage and Bastard unloads with a barrage of strikes! LaFleur is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Bastard screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
