Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lox Sleech (ranked 4199 p4p, 4207 weight class) and Itzik HaKotesh (ranked 159 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lox Sleech!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Itzik HaKotesh!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sleech dives in for a single leg takedown but HaKotesh sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Sleech drops down looking for an ankle pick but HaKotesh pulls his leg out and moves away.
HaKotesh closes the distance and clinches up with Sleech, looking for a takedown. HaKotesh pushes Sleech against the cage but Sleech circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

HaKotesh darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
HaKotesh wants to stand but Sleech has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Sleech manages to get to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
HaKotesh would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Sleech manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. HaKotesh manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if HaKotesh can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sleech is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

HaKotesh throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sleech escapes and throws HaKotesh's legs to the side, diving into side control!
I wouldn't like to be where HaKotesh is right now.
HaKotesh tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sleech wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sleech creates some space and throws a big elbow, but HaKotesh sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sleech grinds an elbow into HaKotesh's temple.
Sleech remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

HaKotesh tries to buck Sleech off but Sleech is having none of it.
Sleech looks up at the clock and then as HaKotesh takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sleech smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Sleech has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sleech tries for a kimura but HaKotesh is defending well.
HaKotesh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sleech off and has taken his back!

HaKotesh patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
HaKotesh is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sleech wants to control his opponent's hands but HaKotesh gets his hands free.
HaKotesh scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Sleech is looking for a way out.
HaKotesh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sleech. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sleech breaks HaKotesh's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

HaKotesh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sleech moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lox Sleech will probably get the nod.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

HaKotesh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sleech throws an off balance right hand
and HaKotesh counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sleech dives in and grabs HaKotesh's left leg, looking for a takedown. HaKotesh pushes down on Sleech's head and hops out.
HaKotesh shoots in for a takedown but Sleech shows good takedown defense.
Sleech half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

so Sleech counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Sleech postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Lox Sleech overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sleech looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks HaKotesh with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sleech drops an elbow to the side of HaKotesh's head.

HaKotesh kicks off Sleech and gets to his feet.
Sleech shoots in looking for a takedown. HaKotesh tries to sprawl out of it but Sleech keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. HaKotesh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from HaKotesh. Those never looked like landing.
Horrible takedown attempt by HaKotesh or perhaps it was just good defense by Sleech, which made it look bad.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sleech, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
