Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Davis (ranked 3459 p4p, 3839 weight class) and Nevez Amadaus (ranked 206 p4p, 233 weight class). Nevez Amadaus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nevez Amadaus!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Davis.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Amadaus! But no joy.
Amadaus throws a poor cross that misses
and Davis counters with a stiff right hand.

Amadaus drives through and clinches with Davis against the cage.
Davis has Amadaus pushed against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Davis.
Davis has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Amadaus is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Amadaus felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Nevez Amadaus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Davis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd cheers as Davis lands an impressive looking overhand right. Amadaus doesn't seem phased though.

Amadaus rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Davis counters with a right hand to the body.
Davis drops his hands momentarily and Amadaus takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Amadaus looks to land a left hand but Davis moved out of range nicely.
Amadaus lands a front kick.
Davis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Davis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Amadaus can do to turn this around?

Davis takes a swing at Amadaus's ribcage but misses.
Amadaus misses with a hook. Davis ducked under it nicely.
Davis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Davis has a takedown stuffed.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davis lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Davis is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Davis connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Amadaus's hands.

Jackson Davis is winning the standup battle so far.
Amadaus thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Davis if he has to take too many more of those.
Amadaus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Davis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Amadaus tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Davis manages to move to mount!

Davis sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Davis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Amadaus avoids a series of strikes thrown by Davis.
Davis throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Amadaus because Davis loaded up on that one.
Amadaus is in a horrible position here. Davis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Davis! Amadaus is hurt baaadly! Davis is firing away with more strikes - Amadaus is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
