The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoddle missing with a left hand there. Honorio was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hoddle sets himself, and Honorio steps forward looking for the clinch! Hoddle avoids it this time.
Hoddle fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Honorio.
Hoddle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Honorio walks into a jab.
Hoddle misses with a body shot.
Hoddle keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hoddle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Honorio drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hoddle defends it well.
Honorio staying out of range there.
Honorio throws a body shot but no joy.
Hoddle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Honorio blocks the body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Honorio shoots in and bounces Hoddle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hoddle is looking to stand up but Honorio isn't so interested in that idea.
Honorio trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Hoddle has his feet on Honorio's thighs here. He's pushed Honorio off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Honorio screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Glen Hoddle rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
