Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buzzard Leonard (ranked 4403 p4p, 4347 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Scott!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott throws a series of punches but Leonard avoids them all with ease.
Scott is trying hard to land a takedown here. Leonard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Leonard gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Scott to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Leonard takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Leonard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Scott controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Scott stands and steps away. Leonard gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Scott throws a leg kick but Leonard checks it.
Scott closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Leonard did well to prevent Scott getting side control.

Leonard shoots for a double leg takedown but Scott sprawls well. He's pushed Leonard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Scott throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Leonard was covering up waiting for the punch and Scott finishes the takedown easily into guard.
