Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Hammerstein (ranked 1685 p4p, 2365 weight class) and Zack Allan Jr (ranked 151 p4p, 210 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Zack Allan Jr!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammerstein with a hook.
Hammerstein looks to throw the jab but Allan Jr is out of range.
Hammerstein lands a glancing blow to the side of Allan Jr's head.

Hammerstein fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Allan Jr sprawls well initially but Hammerstein persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Allan Jr wants to get back to his feet.
Hammerstein throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Allan Jr to regain full guard.

Allan Jr is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hammerstein postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Allan Jr has momentary wrist control but Hammerstein slips an elbow through the middle.
Hammerstein with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Allan Jr can't keep his opponent in guard - Hammerstein advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hammerstein lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Allan Jr looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Allan Jr pushes Hammerstein off looking to stand but Hammerstein dives back in and keeps control.

Hammerstein is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Allan Jr has managed to free his arm - good work.
Allan Jr is not content to let Hammerstein control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hammerstein scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Allan Jr is not content to let Hammerstein control the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hammerstein lands a nice short elbow.

Hammerstein wants to control but Allan Jr is keeping him busy.

Hammerstein thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Allan Jr is in trouble now - Hammerstein has advanced to mount!

Allan Jr bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Hammerstein has his feet on Allan Jr's thighs here. He's pushed Allan Jr off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Allan Jr screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
