Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cottage Cheese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lauri Mononen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mononen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mononen showed some decent athleticism there.
Cheese wants to control but Mononen passes into side.
Cheese stops Mononen from passing to mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cheese throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mononen blocks it with crossed arms.

Mononen has Cheese pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cheese manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mononen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cheese is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mononen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cheese is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mononen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cheese's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mononen seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Cheese's chin but Cheese turns very nicely into Mononen's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Cheese.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lauri Mononen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cheese tries to clinch but Mononen moves out of range.
Cheese will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Lauri Mononen has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mononen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cheese escapes and throws Mononen's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mononen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cheese's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Cheese! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Mononen has tapped! This one is allllll over!
