The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kazimierz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Needle pushes Kazimierz off but Kazimierz dives into side control.
Needle looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Kazimierz works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kazimierz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Needle, who protects the arm well.

Kazimierz is working to tighten his grip on Needle's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Needle has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kazimierz is really squeezing tight and eventually Needle passes out! Kazimierz breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Aleksander Kazimierz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
