Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chochokpi Ash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Williams!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams moves out of range as Ash strikes.
Williams throws out a counter right but Ash avoids it with no problem.
Chochokpi Ash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams ducks under a wild hook from Ash.
Williams's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ash connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Williams scrambles back to his feet.
Ash lands a nice hook to Williams's body. Williams takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Williams bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Williams with the counter takedown but Ash avoids it easily.
Ash staying out of range there.
Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Williams will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Williams drops his hands momentarily and Ash takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Ash throws a shot to the body.
Williams on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Ash misses the jab.
Ash lands a head shot.
Ash ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williams works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A big left from Ash misses.

Ash throws a good cross that connects.
Chochokpi Ash is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ash throws an off balance right hand
so Williams counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Williams lands a couple of digs.
Williams gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Williams avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Williams is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Ash with a body shot.
Williams ducks under a wild hook from Ash.
Ash misses with a lunging right hand
and Williams counters with a shoot takedown. Ash fights it but they end up in guard.

Williams scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Williams is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Williams advances position into side control!
Williams lands a nice forearm strike.
Ash looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Ash knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Williams on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ash takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Williams in side control lands a decent elbow.
Williams tries to move to mount but Ash blocks the move with his legs.
Williams is chipping away with strikes.
Ash is rocked!
Williams has an Americana. Ash didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Williams is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Williams hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
