Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Bleak (ranked 1258 p4p, 2276 weight class) and Deontay DJ (ranked 163 p4p, 278 weight class). DJ is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lil Scrappy - No Problem. Bruno Bleak has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Bleak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Deontay DJ!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from DJ.
DJ looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Bleak avoids the body shot from DJ.
DJ throws a head kick that misses.
DJ misses with an uppercut. Bleak saw that one coming.
DJ throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
DJ throws a head kick that misses.
DJ fakes the leg kick and cracks Bleak in the body.
Deontay DJ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bleak shoots in and bounces DJ off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
DJ is looking to stand up but Bleak isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bleak trying to control the position from guard on top but DJ is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bleak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. DJ swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bleak is working hard here to advance position.
DJ wants to get back to his feet but Bleak is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bleak is stalling in the full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
DJ throws a sloppy head kick and Bleak moves out of range easily.
Bleak tries to counter with a takedown but DJ is quick to defend against it.
Bleak lands a straight punch to the body, keeping DJ at a distance.
DJ tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bleak changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've been hearing reports that Bleak has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bleak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
DJ lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Bleak shoots in and bounces DJ off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bleak prevents DJ from getting back to his feet.

Bleak drops back, looking for a kneebar! DJ looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. DJ looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from DJ!


DJ decides to stand back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bleak tries for a takedown but DJ circles away easily
and DJ counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
DJ lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bleak backs up against the cage.

It looks like Bruno Bleak has been cut.
DJ lets loose with a powerful body kick. Bleak will feel that in the morning.
DJ feints a jab promting Bleak to slip. DJ then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bleak slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
DJ pulls out of a head kick attempt.
DJ throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bleak connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bleak moves out of range of the strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lazy left from Bleak finds it's target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
DJ wants to clinch but Bleak slips to the side
and Bleak counters with a lovely shot to the body.
DJ smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
DJ scores with a push kick.
DJ is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
DJ throws a combination that misses
and Bleak counters with a nice uppercut.
DJ falls off balance throwing a combination

and Bleak counters with a shoot takedown. DJ fights it but they end up in guard.
DJ wants to stand up but Bleak is controlling him.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Deontay DJ dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bruno Bleak's cut.
That's time! Bleak's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bleak takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Deontay DJ seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bleak slips under a jab from DJ.
DJ throws a sloppy head kick

and Bleak counters with a single leg into guard. DJ didn't expect that.
Bruno Bleak overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bleak controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now DJ is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DJ trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bleak's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bleak is looking for a triangle but DJ pushes his legs off easily.

DJ got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bleak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, DJ has managed to get both his arms back between Bleak's legs - danger averted.
DJ tries to stand but Bleak is controlling from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bleak is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. DJ is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DJ wanted to stand there but Bleak had control of the position.
Bleak keeping moving, preventing DJ from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
DJ on the wrong end of a nice jab.
DJ walks into a straight right hand from Bleak.
DJ lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bleak drops DJ with a straight right hand, right on the button! Bleak follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruno Bleak!
