The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovanov throws a lazy right hand but Okongwu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lovanov throws a lazy uppercut
and Okongwu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That kick from Lovanov tenderised Okongwu's leg. Okongwu is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lovanov throws a big shot that misses.
Okongwu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Lovanov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Mauro Okongwu has been cut.
Lovanov misses with a left hand
and Okongwu counters with a nice body kick.
Okongwu cracks Lovanov with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Zahbit Lovanov has been cut.
Okongwu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Okongwu drops Lovanov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lovanov looks back up at him and smiles so Okongwu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Lovanov is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lovanov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Okongwu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lovanov.
And Okongwu counters with a quick kick to the body but Lovanov blocks it.

Lovanov throws a lazy right hand but Okongwu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Okongwu fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Lovanov to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Lovanov looks to clinch but Okongwu throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Lovanov taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
