Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 2070 p4p, 3321 weight class) and Tristan Holmes (ranked 328 p4p, 500 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tristan Holmes!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes throws a head kick that Jones semi-blocks.
Holmes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Holmes.
A head kick misses from Holmes.
As Holmes tries to get set, Jones tries to push him back and clinch up but Holmes manages to avoid the attempt.
That kick from Holmes tenderised Jones's leg. Jones is trying to keep his angry face on.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.

It looks like Tristan Holmes has been cut.
Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Jones's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Jones pushes off an throws an elbow but Holmes leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones is working for takedown but Holmes is calmly controlling the position for now.

Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Jones creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Jones has Holmes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Holmes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Holmes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Holmes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Holmes is aware though and is defending well.
Holmes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Holmes is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots.
Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Holmes is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Holmes tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Holmes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Holmes can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jones stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Holmes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Holmes moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Holmes pushes Jones away with a front kick.
Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Holmes can pounce on him.

Holmes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Holmes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Holmes creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Jones! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Holmes.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tristan Holmes!
Tristan Holmes tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
