Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Killroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Killroy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bryan Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hawk dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Killroy. That did some damage!
Killroy tries to clinch but Hawk moves out of range.
Hawk closes the distance but Killroy moves to the side
and Killroy counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Hawk moves in looking to clinch but Killroy pushes him off.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hawk.
Hawk doesn't manage to clinch there - Killroy circles away.

and Hawk counters with a single leg into guard. Killroy didn't expect that.
Killroy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Killroy tries to get out of the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Killroy pushes Hawk off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Hawk drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hawk's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Hawk is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Killroy looking for a guillotine here but Hawk defends easily.
Hawk postures up in Killroy's guard and throws a big left but Killroy blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killroy wants to control the position but Hawk says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Hawk trying to control from half guard but Killroy is working away.
Hawk missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Hawk is thwarting Killroy's attempts to control the position.
Killroy wants to improve his position but Hawk is controlling well.
Killroy is breathing heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hawk on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hawk moves in looking to clinch but Killroy pushes him off.

Killroy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Hawk is looking to improve his position but Killroy isn't that keen on the idea.
Hawk slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Hawk gets full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Killroy postures up.
Hawk lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Killroy with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hawk is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Killroy preventing the sweep.
Hawk trying to control the position.
Hawk throwing short punches from the bottom.
Killroy stopping the sweep attempt from Hawk.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hawk shoots in but Killroy avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hawk gets a clinch.
Hawk manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hawk throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knees to the body from Hawk.
Hawk lands a knee to the body.
Knees to the body from Hawk.
Killroy avoids the elbow strike from Hawk, against the cage.

Killroy pulls Hawk into guard.
Hawk won't allow Killroy to get back to his feet.
Hawk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Killroy is keeping the position for now.

Killroy has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hawk off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Killroy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hawk is looking to land body kicks.
Hawk moves in looking to clinch but Killroy pushes him off.
Hawk shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Killroy shoots in for a takedown but Hawk shows good takedown defense.
Hawk showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Killroy.
The fight stays on the outside here - Killroy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Killroy has managed to clinch.
Hawk is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Killroy pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Killroy wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hawk keeps control of Killroy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Killroy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hawk fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A nice combination there by Killroy.
Horrible takedown by Killroy or perhaps it was just good defense by Hawk which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Killroy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hawk doesn't manage to clinch there - Killroy circles away.

Hawk moves into the clinch.
Killroy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hawk gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hawk throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Killroy blocks it with crossed arms.
Killroy scores with a shoulder strike.
Killroy wants a takedown but no success here.
Killroy looking to slow down the pace here.
Hawk is stalling here.
A short left from Killroy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Killroy.
Killroy gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Killroy wants to get back to striking at distance but Hawk won't allow it.
Hawk prevents Killroy from breaking the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Hawk dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A jab-cross combination lands for Killroy and sends Hawk crashing to the mat! Killroy follows him down to the mat - Hawk regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


Hawk is rocked!
Killroy lands with a punch from half guard.
Hawk is still in real trouble! Can Killroy finish him?

Killroy decides to return to a standing position.
Killroy misses with a double jab
and Hawk counters with a nice low kick that buckles Killroy's knee momentarily.
Hawk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Killroy throws an overhand right that has Hawk reeling! Killroy follows up with a more punches and Hawk is out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). James Killroy!
