Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kru Thorne!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do Urden misses with a few strikes there.
Do Urden thows a body shot but no joy.
Do Urden tries a head kick but it misses.
Do Urden lands with a nice body punch.
Thorne takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Thorne blocks a head kick by Do Urden.
Do Urden lands a body shot.
Do Urden bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Do Urden throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thorne stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Do Urden lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Do Urden scores with a one two! Thorne had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Do Urden throws a head kick but Thorne moves out of range.

and Do Urden counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Do Urden throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Thorne has taken the fight to the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Do Urden is trying to break the clinch but Thorne has him pressed against the cage.
Do Urden wants to break free but Thorne has control.
Thorne tries to pull guard but Do Urden holds him up against the cage and eventually Thorne drops back down to his feet.

Thorne drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Do Urden gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Drizzt Do Urden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kru Thorne.

Do Urden gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Do Urden is looking to stand up but Thorne won't let him.

Thorne is working an open guard so Do Urden takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Thorne tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Do Urden swivels and escapes.
Thorne tries to close the distance and clinch up but Do Urden swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Do Urden misses with a wild combination.
Thorne shoots in looking for a takedown. Do Urden tries to sprawl out of it but Thorne keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Do Urden manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Do Urden lands with a nice body kick.

Thorne gets a clinch.
Do Urden is looking to break free of the clinch but Thorne has double underhooks.
Thorne tries to land knees in the clinch but Do Urden avoids the damage to the body.

Do Urden has Thorne pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Do Urden pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Thorne tumbling to the mat - Do Urden dives into Thorne's guard.
Do Urden wanted to stand there but Thorne had control of the position.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Thorne throws a sloppy head kick
and Do Urden counters with a big head kick but Thorne shrugs it off.
Do Urden connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Thorne takes a kick to the side of the head.

Thorne bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Do Urden tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Thorne scoring with strikes but Do Urden is staying in there.
Do Urden takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Thorne trying to control but Do Urden is having none of it.
Thorne has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Thorne goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Do Urden is on top in guard.

Do Urden won't allow Thorne to sweep him here.
Thorne has a closed guard, preventing Do Urden from standing up.
Thorne manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Do Urden manages to get himself to full guard.
Do Urden is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Thorne is controlling him.
Thorne is pushing down on Do Urden's leg trying to pass to half guard. Do Urden is fighting to maintain full guard but Thorne has managed to sneak the leg through.
Do Urden is trying to stand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Thorne wants to control but Do Urden is keeping him busy.
Do Urden wants to get back to his feet.
Thorne lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Do Urden wants to get back to his feet.
Thorne is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Thorne stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Thorne shoots in for a takedown but Do Urden shows good takedown defense.
Thorne will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Thorne decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Do Urden's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kru Thorne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
