PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Evan Wilson (ranked 5128 p4p, 25245 weight class) and George Adamidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that George Adamidis was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Evan Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, George Adamidis!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Wilson.

Wilson tries to keep at a distance but Adamidis has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wilson tries to circle away but Adamidis has him pinned against the cage.
Wilson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wilson is trying to force a seperation but Adamidis has the dominant position.
Wilson is trying to break the clinch but Adamidis is controlling him.
Wilson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A frustrated look appears on Wilson's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Adamidis manages to break the clinch.
Wilson connects with a high kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adamidis blocks a head kick by Wilson.
Wilson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As Wilson backs off Adamidis throws a huge counter combo but Wilson manages to avoid it all.

Adamidis moves into the clinch.

Adamidis tightens his grip and picks Wilson up, before dumping him to the ground. Wilson manages to land in guard.
Wilson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Adamidis manages to pass to side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Adamidis in particular looking to stall.
Wilson wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Adamidis takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Wilson is in trouble now - Adamidis has advanced to mount!
Adamidis with shots to the head and body - Wilson looks very uncomfortable down there.
Adamidis controlling his opponent.
Wilson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Adamidis lands a big shot there that rocks Wilson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Adamidis is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wilson is surviving well by controlling Adamidis's body position as best he can.

Wilson is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Adamidis locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Wilson is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). George Adamidis!
