PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Barnes (ranked 1034 p4p, 998 weight class) and Chief Walker (ranked 134 p4p, 128 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Barnes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to We Want The Funk. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derrick Barnes !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Walker!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker loads up on a big right hand but Barnes slips the punch.
Barnes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Barnes .

Barnes tries to keep at a distance but Walker has taken the fight into the clinch.
Barnes tries to pull guard but Walker won't allow it.
Barnes tries to throw a body punch but Walker avoids it by throwing Barnes back against the cage.
Walker throws a punch but it's blocked by Barnes .
Barnes tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Barnes pushes Walker back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Walker misses with a hook from the clinch.
Barnes is trying to stall.
Barnes stalls.
Barnes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Walker gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Walker.
Walker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Barnes backwards.

Barnes has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Walker regains guard immediately.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barnes stops Walker from standing up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barnes cracks Walker with a solid left hand.
Barnes prevents Walker from getting back to his feet.
Barnes with a flurry of punches that miss.

Walker pushes Barnes off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Walker swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Barnes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Walker won't be happy with that.
Walker on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Walker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Barnes lands some shots froms side control.
Barnes scoring with punches and elbows.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barnes has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Walker!
Barnes won't let Walker get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big strike lands for Barnes ! That's really hurt Walker and he's turned his back - Barnes keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Barnes jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
