Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Giovanni (ranked 21 p4p, 94 weight class) and Barack Obaminator (ranked 4 p4p, 15 weight class). Obaminator comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gil Scott-Herron - The Revolution Will Not Be Televised kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obaminator thows a left - swing and a miss!
Giovanni is looking to counter punch.

and Giovanni counters with a stiff right hand.
Giovanni on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Giovanni is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Obaminator throws a sloppy body shot
and Giovanni counters with an outside leg kick.
Giovanni throws a left and a right that both miss
and Giovanni takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Obaminator tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Giovanni was well out of range. Poor timing from Obaminator.

Giovanni moves in looking to clinch but Obaminator pushes him off.
We've been told by Giovanni's head coaches at Convicted Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Obaminator connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Barack Obaminator seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
