The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Let's hope that McDonald has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kersikov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McDonald's guard.

Kersikov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McDonald wants to control but Kersikov is keeping busy.

McDonald wins on points by 5 to 2.
David McDonald opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
