Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Janko Godwin (ranked 782 p4p, 1319 weight class) and Danila Bagrov (ranked 107 p4p, 178 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagrov scores with a jab to the body.
Godwin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bagrov.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bagrov. Godwin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Godwin wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

It looks like Danila Bagrov has been cut.

Bagrov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Godwin's head backwards.

Bagrov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Godwin can't keep his opponent in guard - Bagrov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bagrov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bagrov working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Godwin is looking to stand up but Bagrov isn't so interested in that idea.

Godwin shoots in looking for a takedown but Bagrov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Godwin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And Bagrov tries to counter it with a takedown but Godwin pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Bagrov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Godwin is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Hare of the Dog Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
