Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hammer (ranked 25361 p4p, 3122 weight class) and Duc Hoang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Hammer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoang misses with a lunging right hand
and Hammer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hammer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Hoang throws a wild body kick that Hammer sees coming a mile off.

It looked like Hammer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Hammer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hoang's head backwards.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hoang.
Hammer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Hoang clinches up with Hammer and pushes him back against the cage.
Hoang has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hammer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hoang gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Hoang throws a strike but Hammer rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hoang is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hammer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hammer has escaped and now he's on top!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hammer tightens his grip and picks Hoang up, before dumping him to the ground. Hoang manages to land in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hoang holds on and takes a little breather.
Hammer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hoang is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hoang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hammer controls the pace.

Well Hoang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
