Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Adams (ranked 2615 p4p, 3747 weight class) and Maulen Adilev (ranked 318 p4p, 422 weight class). Maulen Adilev has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams tries to clinch up but Adilev circles away and keeps his distance.
Adilev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Adams as he avoids it easily.
Adams definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Adams tries to close the distance and clinch but Adilev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Adams gets caught napping as Adilev dives in and scores a takedown. Adams manages to retain guard.
Adilev looking to sit in guard and control but Adams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Adilev is on top in guard.

Adams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Adams tries to get out of the position.

Adilev drops back looking for a leg! Adams is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Adams manages to kick Adilev off! Adilev jumps back into Adams's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Adams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Adilev on the ground.

We've been informed that Adilev has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Adilev sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Adams's guard.

Adilev is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Adams sees it coming and defends easily.

Adilev is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Adams can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Adilev wants to control the pace but Adams is squirming around nicely.

Adams stalks Adilev and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Adilev's face. Adilev staggers backwards, shaken.
Adilev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Adams avoids it really well and circles away.
Adilev shoots in looking for a takedown. Adams tries to sprawl out of it but Adilev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Adams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Adams throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Adilev on the side of the head.

Adams fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Adilev looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Adams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Adilev swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Adams fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Adilev on the side of the head.
Adilev throws a lazy right hand but Adams sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Adams throws a good cross that connects.
Adams moves in looking to clinch but Adilev pushes him off.
Adilev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Adilev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Adilev takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Adams rushes Adilev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Adams lands an uppercut.
Adilev has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Adams avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Adilev's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Adilev is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Adams gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Adams throws a punch but it's blocked by Adilev.
Adams lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The fighters are playing wrist control here with Adilev pressed against the cage. Adams frees himself up and cracks Adilev with an uppercut straight from the bowels of hell! Adilev crumples to the floor, out cold! Adams jumps on to the cage and takes in the roar of the crowd! That was nasty!
