Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roid Rager I (ranked 2192 p4p, 2131 weight class) and John Sheppard (ranked 0 p4p, 276 weight class). Roid Rager I could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Sheppard's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rager I throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rager I lands a nice shot to the body.
Sheppard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rager I moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sheppard slips a straight right by Rager I.
Sheppard now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Rager I scores with a hook to the body. Sheppard takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Sheppard lands a jab to Rager I's midsection.
Rager I throws a lazy right hand but Sheppard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rager I takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sheppard dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rager I on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sheppard lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sheppard wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sheppard scores with a hook to the body. Rager I takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Rager I throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rager I misses with a hook. Sheppard ducked under it nicely.
Rager I takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sheppard punishes Rager I's body with a nice straight punch.
Rager I thuds a left hand into Sheppard's body.
Sheppard lands a two punch combo.
Sheppard is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rager I rather than just go for the knockout.
Rager I throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sheppard swinging wildly here.
Sheppard has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sheppard throws a combination that misses
and Rager I counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rager I takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sheppard fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Rager I swings for the body but Sheppard moves out of range.

Rager I gets a clinch.
Rager I is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sheppard to keep the fight standing.
Rager I lands an uppercut.
Rager I lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Rager I gets through Sheppard's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Rager I.
Sheppard is trying to break the clinch but Rager I is controlling him.
Rager I lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Rager I - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Sheppard looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sheppard can't break the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Rager I lands with a short punch from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rager I breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sheppard takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rager I throws an off balance right hand
and Sheppard counters with a straight right hand.

Rager I lands a big right hand that sends Sheppard crashing to the mat! Rager I stays standing though and waves Sheppard back to his feet!

Sheppard is rocked!

Rager I forces Sheppard back against the cage and clinches.
Sheppard is still on wobbly legs! Can Rager I finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rager I creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Sheppard's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Sheppard drops to his knees and Rager I pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
