Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarno Puukko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cain Ramis!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Jarno Puukko has been cut.
Ramis scores with the left hand. Puukko knows he should have avoided that one.
Ramis just misses with a punch to the body.
Puukko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ramis is fending him off so far but Puukko persists. Nope, Ramis circles away and we're back to standing.
Puukko walks into a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ramis throws a right hand that Puukko ducks under and follows up with a left that Puukko also avoids with ease.
Ramis misses the shot to the body.
Horrible takedown by Puukko or perhaps it was just good defense by Ramis which made him look bad.
Puukko looks for a takedown but Ramis sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarno Puukko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ramis lands a nice shot that snaps Puukko's head back.
Nice takedown defense from Ramis. No joy for Puukko on that attempt.
Puukko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ramis circles away.
Puukko is breathing heavily.
Nice uppercut there from Ramis.
Jarno Puukko's cut is getting worse.
Ramis steps into range and cracks Puukko with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Puukko flops backwards and Ramis dives into his guard looking to finish!
Puukko is rocked!
Ramis passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramis postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Puukko to stand up.
Puukko takes one to the side of the head.
Jarno Puukko's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Puukko shoots in for a takedown but Ramis shows good takedown defense.
Ramis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Puukko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ramis lands a big uppercut and Puukko crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Puukko looks OK. Ramis waves Puukko back to his feet!
Oh Puukko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jarno Puukko's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Cain Ramis!
