Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Perusjamppa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veikko Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perusjamppa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Veikko Virtanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Virtanen fails with the takedown.
Perusjamppa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Virtanen looks gassed!

Perusjamppa has Virtanen up against the cage in a clinch.
Virtanen wants to get back to striking at distance but Perusjamppa won't allow it.

Perusjamppa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Virtanen has a takedown stuffed.
Perusjamppa connects with a high kick.

It looks like Veikko Virtanen has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Perusjamppa drives through and clinches with Virtanen against the cage.
Perusjamppa tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Virtanen smiles and moves away.
Perusjamppa throws a head kick that misses.
Perusjamppa tries to bum rush Virtanen with a series of wild strikes but Virtanen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Virtanen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perusjamppa tries to avoid it but Virtanen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perusjamppa to the ground. Perusjamppa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pedro Perusjamppa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Veikko Virtanen.
A slapping body kick lands there for Perusjamppa.

Whack! Perusjamppa lands a heavy head kick that drops Virtanen. The ref tackles Perusjamppa to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Virtanen was done.
