Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gothic Line (ranked 71 p4p, 113 weight class) and Billy Blank (ranked 11 p4p, 19 weight class). Billy Blank will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gothic Line!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Blank!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blank misses with a hook. Line ducked under it nicely.
Line fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Blank throws a poor cross that misses
and Line makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Blank closes the distance and clinches up with Line, looking for a takedown. Blank pushes Line against the cage but Line circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Line fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blank, pushing him back against the cage.
Blank has Line pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Line manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Line lands a nice uppercut.

Blank lands a takedown into guard.
Line is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Line is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Still in half guard, Line seems content to control.

Line moves nicely into side control.
You can see the frustration on Blank's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Line controls the position.
Blank struggling a bit here.
Blank is looking for a sweep.
Blank is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
You can see the frustration on Blank's face as Line controls the position.
Line trying to control the action but Blank is working from the bottom.
Blank is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Blank gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Line controlling the pace for now.
Blank is desperately trying to improve his position but Line has a good base and remains in mount.
Blank prevents Line from taking his back.
Blank is looking to get to half guard.
Blank is squirming around, avoiding Line's attempts to control the action.
Blank is wriggling around trying to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Line moves to the back.
Blank is trying to break free.
What can Blank do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Line continues to stall.
Blank breaks Line's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gothic Line dominated that round.
That's time! Line's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Blank uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Line has time to react.
Blank throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Line throws a lazy right hand but Blank sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Line is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Blank.
Blank misses with a straight left.
Line drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Blank ducks under a wild hook from Line.
Line takes a jab right on the kisser.
Blank jabs Line right on the nose. Line blinks but takes it well.
Line looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Blank misses with a lunging right hand
and Line connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blank misses with a looping left.
A little feinted left hand from Line on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Line takes one to the chin there.
Line lands the left hand.
Gothic Line is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Line staying out of range there.
Blank swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It looked like Line was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Blank.
Billy Blank seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Blank lands a jab to Line's midsection.
A head kick misses from Line.
Blank connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Blank tries to bum rush Line with a series of wild strikes but Line uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Billy Blank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blank looks to throw the jab but Line is out of range.

and Line counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

It looked like Line wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A big right from Blank misses.
Blank is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Line uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Blank.
Blank looks for a takedown but Line sprawls well.
Blank fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
It looked like Line wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Blank closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Blank throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Line cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Blank fails with the takedown
letting Line counter with a right hand.
Gothic Line has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Blank.
Line defending well as Blank loads up on a big left hand.
Line swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Line lands a big uppercut and Blank crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Blank looks OK. Line waves Blank back to his feet!
Line scores with a decent looking hook.

Blank is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Line fakes the body blow, causing Blank to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Blank goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Our winner, Gothic Line, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
