Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideyoshi Yamasaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Tsunoda!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsunoda misses with a hook
and Yamasaki counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A head kick misses from Tsunoda.
Yamasaki's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tsunoda under the eye.
Yamasaki takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Tsunoda ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yamasaki moves away.
Yamasaki lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Tsunoda swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tsunoda misses with a looping right.
Yamasaki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Yamasaki lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tsunoda at a distance.
Yamasaki tests Tsunoda's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yamasaki throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Tsunoda fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Yamasaki misses with a double jab.
Tsunoda scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

and Yamasaki counters with a two punch combo.

Yamasaki lands a head shot.
Yamasaki lands the left hand.
Tsunoda scores with a hook to the body. Yamasaki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tsunoda's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Yamasaki connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tsunoda scrambles back to his feet.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Yamasaki! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Hideyoshi Yamasaki!
After the fight, Hideyoshi Yamasaki was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
