Volz's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, New Beginnings. martin lagermo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Eric Volz's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Volz feints and as lagermo raises his hands in defense, Volz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Volz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Volz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Volz has gone for a leg lock! lagermo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Volz's guard.

Volz is looking for a triangle but lagermo pushes his legs off easily.

lagermo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Volz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but lagermo frees his head nicely. Oh but Volz has switched to an armbar! lagermo is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
