Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Badri Bolkvadze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Stand Upman!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Upman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A low kick lands for Bolkvadze.
Upman sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bolkvadze keeps control of Upman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Upman goes for a takedown attempt but Bolkvadze pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Upman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Upman tries to land knees in the clinch but Bolkvadze avoids the damage to the body.
Upman wants to break the clinch but can't.
Upman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bolkvadze just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bolkvadze struggles to land a body shot inside as Upman controls his hands.
Upman is trying to pull guard but Bolkvadze turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bolkvadze stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Bolkvadze on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Upman tries to pull guard but Bolkvadze holds him up against the cage and eventually Upman drops back down to his feet.

Upman tries to pull guard but Bolkvadze won't allow it.

Bolkvadze pushes Upman back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Upman is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Bolkvadze cracks Upman with a nice body shot.
Bolkvadze takes control of his opponent's neck and spins him into the cage. Upman is off balance and as he stumbles, Bolkvadze throws a jumping knee that lands flush on Upman's chin, knocking him out cold! Oh my word - what a knockout! Definitely one for his highlight reel! If he ever decides to rob a bank and run off to Morocco, that moment is defintely worthy of a tacky mural!
