Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roman Kos (ranked 3960 p4p, 802 weight class) and Jorgen Kruth (ranked 322 p4p, 68 weight class). Kruth has chosen Black Hole Sun- Soundgarden as his entrance music. Roman Kos had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roman Kos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jorgen Kruth!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kruth.
Kos throws a jab when Kruth was well out of range.
Kruth looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kos is fending him off so far but Kruth persists. Nope, Kos circles away and we're back to standing.
Kos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kruth moves into the clinch.

Kos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kruth.
Roman Kos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorgen Kruth.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kruth looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kruth throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kos's waist but Kos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kruth off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kos slaps away a takedown attempt from Kruth, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kos looks for the body kick but Kruth saw that one coming.
We've been told by Kos's head coaches at Brloh that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Kos's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kos duly obliges.

It looks like Jorgen Kruth has been cut.
Kruth avoids the head kick by Kos.

Kruth instigates a clinch.
Kruth can't get the takedown.

Kos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kruth moves away from the strike by Kos.
Kos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kruth.
Kruth looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kruth tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kruth somewhat.

Kruth connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kos momentarily.

That was a close round but I would say that Roman Kos will probably get the nod.

Kruth dives in and grabs Kos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kos pushes down on Kruth's head and hops out.

Kruth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kos is just riding it out for now. Kruth eventually gives up the hold.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A head kick from Kos lands but Kruth takes it in his stride.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kos throws a hook to the side of Kruth's head but Kruth sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

It looked like Kos was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Kos misses with a series of wild punches.
Kos throws a shot from downtown. Kruth moves away and avoids it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Kos darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kruth takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Kos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kruth is still on wobbly legs! Can Kos finish him?

Kruth looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kos tries to get out of the position.

Kruth is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kos is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jorgen Kruth!
Jorgen Kruth decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
