Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buzz Williamson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marshall Praust!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Praust closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Williamson tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Praust tries to keep control of the position but Williamson is staying busy.

Williamson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Praust throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Williamson!

Williamson manages to escape to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williamson blocks a jab.
A little feinted left hand from Williamson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Williamson swings for the body but Praust moves out of range.
Williamson tries to bum rush Praust with a series of wild strikes but Praust uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Williamson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Praust with the counter takedown but Williamson avoids it easily.
Williamson misses with a double jab.
Williamson throws a nice looking combination but Praust bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Praust avoids a punch combination nicely.
Praust slips under a jab from Williamson.
A little jabbing left from Praust on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Praust tries to land a front kick but Williamson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Nice straight punches there by Williamson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Williamson.
Praust looks to land a right hand but Williamson moved out of range.
Praust connects with a right hand. Williamson shakes it off.
Praust throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Williamson's waist but Williamson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Praust off to one side.
Williamson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Praust moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Williamson, as that shot connected.

It looks like Marshall Praust has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Williamson. No joy for Praust on that attempt.

Praust dives in for a single leg takedown but Williamson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Buzz Williamson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marshall Praust.
Williamson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Praust was well out of range. Poor timing from Williamson.
Buzz Williamson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Williamson throws a right hand that Praust ducks under and follows up with a left that Praust also avoids with ease.

Williamson is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Williamson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Praust scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Williamson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Praust blocks a jab.
Williamson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Williamson throws a series of punches but Praust moves out of range.
Praust throws out a counter right but Williamson avoids it with no problem.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Williamson enables Praust to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Williamson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Williamson is trying to control the position but Praust postures up.
Praust won't allow Williamson to get back to his feet.
Williamson looking to control.
Praust slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Praust working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Williamson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Praust trying to control but Williamson is working from the bottom.
Praust slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Williamson can't do much from the bottom here.
Praust tries to advance to mount but can't.
Praust lands a decent elbow from side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

And Praust tries to counter it with a takedown but Williamson pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Williamson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Praust can do to turn this around?

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williamson is looking to improve his position.
Williamson is pressing down on Praust's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Praust tries to free his leg and advance position but Williamson is retaining full guard.

Praust chips away with some ground and pound.
Williamson wants to stand but Praust is controlling the position.
Marshall Praust has got the better of the ground game so far.
Praust stands and throws Williamson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Williamson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Praust.
Williamson is looking for a sweep.
Williamson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Praust connects with a decent elbow.
Praust misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Williamson tries to buck Praust off but Praust is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williamson pushes Praust away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Praust gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Williamson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Praust presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Williamson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Praust looking to control but Williamson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Praust cracks Williamson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Praust wants to control the pace but Williamson is squirming around nicely.
Praust lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Williamson hang on?

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Praust! Williamson is hurt baaadly! Praust is firing away with more strikes - Williamson is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marshall Praust!
