Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Never Hurry (ranked 2299 p4p, 2035 weight class) and Jake Conway (ranked 257 p4p, 227 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurry lands with an uppercut that bounces Conway off the cage and back into range.

It looks like Jake Conway has been cut.
Conway looks to throw the jab but Hurry is out of range.
Hurry throws a head kick that misses.
Hurry jabs Conway to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Conway connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Hurry moves into the clinch.
Conway tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hurry prevents a body shot from Conway.
I was talking to Hurry's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Conway can't find room to land a body shot as Hurry controls the action.
Hurry swings wildly with an uppercut but Conway uses good head movement to avoid it.
A nice right hand lands inside from Conway.
Conway swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hurry wants to break free but Conway has control.
Conway goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Hurry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Conway throws a shot from downtown. Hurry moves away and avoids it.
Hurry appears to be looking for a big counter.
Conway pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nice defenses there by Hurry.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hurry takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Conway scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hurry in his tracks.
Hurry uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Conway.
Conway missing with a left hand there. Hurry was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Hurry drives through and clinches with Conway against the cage.

Hurry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

It looks like Never Hurry has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hurry looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hurry digs a good hook to Conway's body.
Conway throws a head kick that misses.
Hurry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Conway moves away.
Conway thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hurry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Conway throws a hook to the side of Hurry's head but Hurry sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Conway takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hurry cracks Conway with a right hand to the side of the head.

That has opened up Jake Conway's cut even more.
Hurry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fighters circling - Conway throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hurry swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Conway scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Hurry avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Conway displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hurry throws out the jab.

Conway misses with a straight right.
Conway throws a looping overhand right but Hurry ducks down to avoid it.
Good standup being displayed there by Hurry as he connects with a hook.
Hurry just misses with a punch to the body.
Conway loads up on a big right hand but Hurry slips the punch.
It looked like Hurry was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Conway thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hurry moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hurry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters circle momentarily. Conway darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Conway throws a lazy right hand but Hurry sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A jab-cross combination lands for Hurry and sends Conway crashing to the mat! Hurry follows him down to the mat - Conway regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The cut above Jake Conway's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Conway has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hurry is working away from the top position though.
Conway wants to sweep but Hurry has passed to side control!

Conway is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hurry's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Hurry! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Conway has tapped! This one is allllll over!
