The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liu walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Galanis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Liu scores with a kick to the midsection.
Galanis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Liu feints a jab promting Galanis to slip. Liu then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Galanis slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been told by Liu's head coaches at Gumburcules Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Liu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Galanis to score with a decent uppercut.
Liu is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Galanis doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Liu crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Liu's bad books for that mishap!
