The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sukulaku throws a head kick that misses.
Kongsangchai uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sukulaku.
Kongsangchai was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Sukulaku is trying to maintain a safe position but Kongsangchai gets an underhook and turns Sukulaku into the cage.

Sukulaku has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kongsangchai moves into the clinch.
Sukulaku swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sukulaku lands a hook that snaps the head of Kongsangchai backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sukulaku lands a high kick to the side of Kongsangchai's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Sukulaku dives into guard, looking to finish.

Kongsangchai is rocked!

It looks like Akara Kongsangchai has been cut.
Sukulaku stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kongsangchai swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Oh Kongsangchai is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sukulaku stops Kongsangchai from standing up.
Kongsangchai seems to have got his legs back now.
Sukulaku trying to control the position from guard on top but Kongsangchai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kongsangchai has his feet on Sukulaku's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Sukulaku takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kongsangchai is looking to clinch but Sukulaku is avoiding it.
Sukulaku loads up on a big right hand but Kongsangchai slips the punch.

A jab lands there for Sukulaku.
Kongsangchai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sukulaku circles away quickly and effectively.
Akara Kongsangchai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

And Kongsangchai counters with a quick kick to the body but Sukulaku blocks it.

Kongsangchai buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kongsangchai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kongsangchai dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sukulaku throws a leg kick but Kongsangchai sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kongsangchai fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kongsangchai cracks Sukulaku with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A head kick misses from Sukulaku.
Sukulaku walks straight into a right hand from Kongsangchai - that's dropped him! Kongsangchai jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Sukulaku from any more punishment! Sukulaku complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
